(Dirt trial 1200m on 8/9: ran in position 9-9-5) Spread out wide initially, then moved forward strongly; (Turf trial 1000m at Conghua on 24/8: ran in position 10-10-7) Ran freely and handled the pace well. Making a comeback after a long layoff, this is his first start of the season. In May, he ran in the same race and was disappointing; he tailed off throughout, maintaining a steady pace but showing no real acceleration. Fortunately, the margin was not huge, losing only three lengths. After two recent barrier trials, he has shown no improvement. Circumstances are unfavorable; the drawing position is poor, and his finishing kick is slightly lacking. The jockey-trainer combination is not ideal. However, having won three of his last four races, with acceptable time figures, this may be manageable.
