On 31/8, he ran a 1200m turf trial at Chong Hing, running from the inside rail and accelerating strongly as he approached. Having run in early this season, his last race two months ago over 1600m on Sha Tin turf showed decent form. He started slowly, settled towards the rear, accelerated in the middle section, and chased strongly for two subsequent sections on the straight. He has shown slight improvement in a recent trial run. Switching to Happy Valley turf over a mile, this is his debut at this distance. He needs to carry two extra pounds in this race; the trip doesn't suit him, and his time performance hasn't been outstanding. His chances are somewhat hampered by unfavorable draw and a lack of strong rapport between jockey and trainer. However, his ability to sit towards the rear and his finishing kick among competitors are strong, and his recent form is not poor; nevertheless, he is not favored for this race.
