In his first run of the season, he performed respectably in a dirt mile three months ago; slow out of the gate, settled back, with an average pace throughout, slowly closing in at the finish. He did not keep up with the pace during the trial barrier run. Having returned to Happy Valley over a mile, he will carry two pounds extra in this race; the conditions are not entirely favorable, and there isn't a particularly strong synergy between jockey and trainer. However, his finishing kick is strong within the field, he has prior form over this trip, and it may not be without chances.
