1/9 (Dirt trial 1200m: Position-Position-Position) He surged on the bend but faded around the 200m mark. Making his debut this season, two months ago he ran over 1400m on Sha Tin turf and showed outstanding form. He did not jump out quickly, settled behind the pace with a steady run, gradually closing in towards the finish, finishing as a runner-up. Fortunately, he was not far behind, losing only three and a half lengths. A recent trial run showed an acceptable performance. Transitioning to Happy Valley turf over a mile, this is his first attempt at this distance; the trip does not suit him, and he was time-restricted in his group, making the circumstances unfavorable. The jockey/trainer combination is not yet ideal, though he settled behind the pace and possesses the strongest finishing kick in his group, drawing a favorable barrier draw; however, high expectations should be tempered.
