Returning after a long layoff and making his first start this season, he performed excellently in the same race last April, showing great scope to run and finishing second. Fortunately, he was not far behind, losing only a half-length, indicating high quality. A recent trial showed he still needs to find his form. This time he carries two pounds less, and with three wins from fourteen starts in this race distance, his group timing is acceptable and the prospects are not poor. His early speed is enough to aggressively contest positions, and even if his finishing kick is slightly lacking or the jockey/trainer combination isn't ideal, he should not be dismissed.
