4/9 (Sha Tin turf trial 1000m: 4-4-5) showed a strong early burst but lacked sustained pace; his performance in the 24/8 (Sha Tin turf trial 800m: 7-8-9) was mediocre, fading in the final stages. This is his first start this season; two months ago he ran a similar race and performed reasonably well. He broke slowly, settled further back, maintained a steady pace, gradually closing in towards the end, and fortunately not being too far behind, finishing only two and a half lengths off the winner. Having completed two practice trials, he lacks sufficient preparation. His time figures are weak, and his position in the race is disadvantaged; his finishing kick is slightly lacking, and there is no standout partnership between jockey and trainer. He is not favored for this race.
