Trial on March 4th (Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 1000m: 1-1-1), showed blistering speed and led strongly to the finish. This is an early start to the season; three weeks ago, he ran poorly over 1200m on dirt, tracking the pace steadily throughout but showing little improvement in form. He showed slight improvement in a recent trial run. Running on Happy Valley turf over a short distance this time, he is carrying an extra eight pounds, and the draw was not ideal; his finishing kick has yet to shine through. The jockey and trainer don't appear perfectly in sync, but his ability to get into a forward position and his two previous wins suggest he may be capable of placing.
