1/9 (Turf trial 1548m: 4-3-1-3) Showed some drive around the bends, and maintained momentum down the straight. This is his first run this season; two months ago he ran over 1800m on Happy Valley turf and the performance was disappointing, unleashing energy but fading in the final stages to finish badly. A recent trial showed slight improvement. In a subsequent Happy Valley mile trial, the time indicator was weak and the positioning was not ideal; his finishing kick was slightly lacking, and there was no standout partnership between jockey and trainer. His strength lies in his ability to gain early speed, he has previous experience over this distance, but he is not the top choice for this race.
