1/9 (Dirt trial 1200m: 7-7-5) Moved out gradually in the two sections and automatically surged forward. This is an early start to the season; two months ago, he ran poorly over 1600m on Sha Tin turf. He was slow getting out of the gate, tracked from behind, and showed weakness in the final stages to finish well beaten. After a trial run, no improvement was noted. Running off the beaten track this time on Happy Valley turf over a mile, this is his first attempt at this distance. He carries three pounds more weight this time, the trip does not suit him well, and his chances are somewhat disadvantaged.
