KENOBE was withdrawn on 10.6.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter HAPPY SEVEN. Before being allowed to race again, KENOBE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BUCCANEER was slow to begin. MINGS` HERO knuckled over on jumping. Passing the 1200 Metres, FANTASTIC DANCER was taken in to a three wide position by GREAT HERO which at this time shifted out away from the heels of CHATER D`CAT. Passing the 250 Metres, PRECISION MAGIC shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of HAPPY SEVEN, causing both horses to become unbalanced. For the majority of the race, PRIME TARGET travelled wide and without cover. The performance of PRIME TARGET, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PRIME TARGET will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When questioned regarding the performance of PRECISION MAGIC, Apprentice M L Yeung stated that the horse had been disappointing today as it travelled very well throughout the race. He said shortly after entering the Straight he shifted PRECISION MAGIC out into clear running, however, no sooner that he did this that PRECISIONS MAGIC came under pressure and was most disappointing in its failure to finish off the race. Trainer A Lee stated that whilst PRECISION MAGIC was disappointing, the horse was up in grade today. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of GREAT HERO, W M Lai stated that his mount travelled only fairly throughout the race and in the Straight did not respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection of FANTASTIC DANCER, PRECISION MAGIC and GREAT HERO after the race did not show any significant findings. CHATER D`CAT and WIN PRACTITIONER were sent for sampling. <14/6/2010 Additional Veterinary Report> GREAT HERO, which performed poorly, was examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison. He said at that time there were no significant findings. GREAT HERO was again examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison at the stables of Trainer D Cruz yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, GREAT HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
