A month ago, this horse delivered a strong performance over Sha Tin 2000m, jumping moderately and settling towards the back before accelerating rapidly in the final two sections. He finished fifth, beaten two and a half lengths. Now stepping up in class to a longer Happy Valley race, he benefits from a 19-pound weight reduction, with comparable times to rivals and an advantageous barrier draw. Compared to other contenders, this horse holds a noticeable strength advantage. The jockey has been changed to Keith Yeung, who appears to have good synergy with the horse; however, a hold-up tactic is anticipated which may limit his finishing kick against stronger opponents, and trainer/jockey combination isn't ideal. Expectations are for a place finish.
