On April 8th, a turf trial over 1600m showed moderate performance (sections: 9-10-10-9), with a slight improvement in the final section. On March 25th, another turf trial over 1600m saw the horse fading significantly at halfway, dropping back sharply. Six weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over an extended Happy Valley mile, settling well but failing to sustain speed and finishing far behind. Two barrier trials have not shown significant improvement. A subsequent long-distance trial on the Happy Valley turf sees him racing with a 3lb weight reduction. Facing strong competition within his group and drawing a less favorable barrier, despite having some form over this distance and potential to lead, chances appear slim.
