Four weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over a Sha Tin 1600m race, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He made an effort in the middle stages but couldn’t close the gap and finished well-beaten. In a subsequent trial over 1400m on turf, he benefits from a four-pound weight reduction. The time difference within the group is not favorable, despite drawing an inside barrier, requiring a hold-up tactic. Finishing kick expected to be strong amongst his peers, with condition showing improvement and no regression – aiming to finish closer to the leaders.
