Three weeks ago, over Sha Tin 1400m, the horse performed respectably despite a slow start, settling towards the rear before making a mid-race move and chasing. He finished eighth, beaten three and a half lengths. Now stepping up to Sha Tin 1600m with a three-pound weight reduction and an advantageous inside barrier, his overall form looks good compared to other contenders. With Matthew Chadwick taking the ride, there appears to be strong synergy between horse and jockey, and trainer and rider have a trusting relationship. Despite the distance not being ideal, requiring a hold-up strategy, he lacked the finishing kick of his rivals; consider him a longshot with potential value.
