On May 9th, a Happy Valley dirt trial over 1200m saw an unremarkable performance with no standout qualities. Four weeks ago, this horse delivered a strong run on the Sha Tin turf over 1400m, jumping slowly but finishing with fast sections after settling towards the rear. A recent barrier trial showed limited improvement. Making its debut on the Sha Tin turf over 1600m this time with a three-pound weight reduction, the distance is not ideal and a hold-up tactics are expected; however, the finishing kick isn’t competitive enough. Despite an improved final approach, only expecting to finish closer to the field.
