Two weeks ago, this horse ran well over a Happy Valley 1200m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. He showed a strong late run to finish third, beaten only half a length. Now stepping up to a Happy Valley mile for the first time with no additional weight, an advantageous barrier draw is expected to allow him to settle back in the field, utilising his finishing kick. The trainer and jockey still have faith in each other, preparations are complete but the distance may not suit; a shorter trip would be preferable.
