Three weeks ago, over Sha Tin 1400m, the horse performed well despite a slow jump, settling towards the rear before making a strong late run in the final two sections to finish third. He was beaten by one and half lengths. In a recent trial over Sha Tin 1600m, he’s been allocated a one-pound weight increase for this race. Although the sectionals were comparable to other horses in the group, he managed to secure a good position tracking the leaders and drew an inside barrier. The trainer and jockey have confidence in each other, but the overall situation isn't particularly advantageous; a patient approach may be best.
