Sixteen days ago, during a Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m (from Conghua), the horse maintained pace with prompting from the rider. Two months ago in a Happy Valley mile, performance was below expectations; slow out of the gate and settled towards the rear. Showed a strong late run but was beaten three lengths, finishing seventh. Following a short break, one barrier trial showed it struggling to keep up with the leading pace. Returning to Sha Tin over 1600m this time with a one-pound weight reduction, the horse has previous form over this distance and recorded good sectionals in its group. Expecting a hold-up tactic, demonstrating a decent finishing kick. Trainer and jockey have a strong relationship, despite drawing an unfavorable outside barrier.
