Fourteen days ago, this horse ran impressively over a Happy Valley mile despite a slow start, settling towards the rear and maintaining a consistent pace throughout. He finished fourth with a strong late run, beaten two and a half lengths – a respectable performance. A subsequent trial at Happy Valley over 1800m didn’t reveal much improvement; he raced from behind and lacked sufficient finishing speed to challenge effectively. The trainer-jockey combination hasn't been particularly successful. Despite a six-pound weight reduction, a favorable time comparison within the field, and an advantageous barrier draw, prospects remain limited.
