On March 2nd, this horse completed a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua (7-7-3), moving out to the outside on the bend and gradually making up ground. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin 1600m race, the performance was reasonable despite a slow start, settling towards the rear with a consistent pace throughout the run. A recent barrier trial showed slight improvement. This time switching to Happy Valley over 1800m for its first attempt at this distance, the conditions are not ideal and the barrier draw is unfavourable. Considering the horse settled back in the last run and may lack the finishing kick to match rivals, the trainer-jockey combination hasn't been particularly strong. Despite a three-pound weight reduction this race and acceptable time figures, its current appearance doesn’t suggest a clear advantage.
