On March 2nd, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (sections 1-1-1), the horse showed significant improvement and won convincingly. Six weeks ago in the same distance race, performance was lackluster; it settled in a good position tracking the leaders with an even pace throughout but lacked dynamism. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight progress. This horse has yet to win in three starts at this distance, presenting a slightly unfavorable scenario. The finishing kick was somewhat lacking and trainer-jockey communication isn’t ideal, however, benefiting from a 3lb weight reduction and acceptable time figures, it remains a contender.
