On March 3rd (dirt trial 1200m: 8-8-5), the horse was ridden early, gradually moving out from the inside to make a challenge. Three weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over 2000m on the Sha Tin turf, settling towards the rear and weakening at the finish for a significant defeat. A recent barrier trial showed no noticeable improvement. Switching to Happy Valley over 1800m now, it’s a first attempt at this distance with questionable suitability reflected in the time figures. The current conditions are unfavorable, with a less-than-ideal draw. Finishing kick was slightly lacking in the last run and the trainer-jockey combination hasn't demonstrated strong synergy. However, benefiting from a 4lb weight reduction this time, it could be considered an outside chance.
