On February 24th, a dirt trial over 1200m showed moderate speed moving out gradually in sections (9-9-8). On February 10th, another dirt trial over 1200m saw the horse pushed hard with decent late momentum (8-8-6). Seven weeks ago, this horse performed poorly in a dirt mile race, slow to jump and settling towards the rear with an even pace, improving late. Two barrier trials have been undertaken but work still needs refinement. Returning to Happy Valley over 1800m this time with a five-pound weight reduction, having previously won twice at this distance with acceptable time figures. Drawing a good barrier suggests a hold-up tactics. This horse possesses the strongest finishing kick in its group and the jockey/horse combination is reasonable. Morning trackwork remains satisfactory although trainer cooperation hasn't been particularly notable; still, shouldn’t be discounted.
