On September 15th, recorded a dirt trial over 1200m with running sections of 6-5-5, showing good pace after prompting. A turf trial at Conghua over 1600m on April 9th saw sections of 4-5-4-2, responding well to urging and maintaining a good forward position. Another turf trial at Conghua over 1200m on August 24th resulted in sections of 7-6-8, holding a steady pace when pushed. This horse is making his debut this season; in March, he ran a respectable race over 1800m at Sha Tin, settling back in the field and finishing with a strong late kick. He was beaten by one and a half lengths. Three barrier trials have been completed, indicating slight improvement. He steps out at Happy Valley over 1800m this time, attempting the distance for the first time and drawing a favorable barrier. He showed the most potent finishing kick in his group during trials, positioning him among the highest-rated contenders. Trainer and jockey are working well together and recent trackwork indicates good form, however, he faces a 19-pound weight increase this race, the distance may not suit and time figures are relatively weak. Despite these challenges, he remains a competitive prospect.
