Seven days ago (September 9th), in a Conghua turf trial over 1200m, the horse settled towards the rear. Recent trial impressions were unremarkable; on August 25th in another Conghua turf trial over 1200m, it travelled wide throughout losing ground with a moderate response from the jockey. Returning after a spell, this horse debuted early in the season and ran well over the same distance in April, jumping slowly and settling towards the back. A steady pace was set throughout, making up significant ground in the final stages to finish fourth, beaten by one and a half lengths – showing good potential. Two recent barrier trials have not indicated any improvement. This race sees a one-pound weight reduction; the horse has performed well over this distance, recorded fastest times within its group and with a hold-up racing style, retains a certain finishing kick. It is currently among the top rated contenders for this race, with the jockey exhibiting good control of the horse and reasonable trainer support. Considered a strong contender for victory.
