On September 18th, a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m saw the horse settle towards the rear throughout, maintaining a relaxed pace. On September 7th, another turf trial at Conghua over 1200m was completed with a comfortable rhythm and focusing on opening up the airways. This horse is making its seasonal debut, having shown reasonable form in a dirt mile race in March, jumping slowly and settling towards the back. The pace was even throughout, with a late move to close ground. Two recent barrier trials have not indicated significant improvement in fitness. Returning to Happy Valley over 1800m, the horse now carries an additional five pounds, which represents a disadvantage. A hold-up strategy could see it struggle to make up sufficient ground in the final stages, and trainer-jockey synergy doesn’t appear particularly strong. However, a favourable barrier draw and strong time figures relative to its group suggest it remains worth considering.
