1/9 (dirt trial 1200m: 4-4-4) ran steadily, but showed decent movement. Making its seasonal debut, it delivered an impressive performance over a Happy Valley mile in March, settling nicely tracking the leaders with consistent pace before taking victory. A recent barrier trial was up to standard. Stepping up in class, it will race over a Happy Valley 1800m this time, testing the distance for the first time. Carrying a 14-pound deduction in weight and drawing a suitable barrier, it has potential to lead early. Finishing kick remains relatively strong, however time figures were not outstanding and trainer-jockey cooperation hasn't been remarkable. A dark horse contender.
