Sept 25th (Dirt Trial 1200m: 10-10-8) Started sluggishly in the early stages, tracked along the rail on the straight. Three weeks ago, this horse put in a very impressive performance over 1400m on the Sha Tin turf. After a slow start, he settled back but powered up in the middle stages and chased hard down the final two sections on the straight, finishing near the lead. He was close to winning, losing only a half length, indicating a high level of ability. His trial run was not at full strength. In another 1400m dirt trial, he will carry one pound less in this race. He has a good record over this distance and a competitive time index. Based on overall assessment, he is among the top contenders in the field. The jockey/horse pairing is decent, and connections show good cooperation with active training; he deserves to be a focus horse.
