Sept 28 (Conghua turf barrier trial over 1200m: 7-7-2) ran on the outside, showing reserves in the final stages and progressing well compared to others. Sept 2 (Dirt trial over 1200m: 3-5-8) was consistently trailing, finishing at the rear. Aug 26 (Dirt trial over 1200m: 9-7-7) did not jump out cleanly and returned near the rail. Returning after a layoff, this marks his first run of the season. He ran well and held on in a previous Sha Tin 1400m race in April. After three trial barrier runs, there has been slight improvement. In a recent Sha Tin 1800m trial, this was his first attempt at this distance where conditions were somewhat disadvantageous, and the finishing kick was not outstanding. The jockey-trainer combination was not ideal, but his time was reasonable and he put in a solid effort in the closing stages, making him a potential outsider.
