Six weeks ago, this horse ran impressively over the same distance, jumping moderately but finishing strongly with fast sections. Two recent dirt trials (6/5: 1200m – 6-7-7, showing little in the straight; 24/4: 1200m – 3-4-10, maintaining pace), haven’t demonstrated notable performance. This time with a four-pound weight reduction and respectable group times, a hold-up tactic is anticipated, relying on a strong finishing kick which appears to be the horse's main strength. Trainer and jockey maintain mutual confidence; despite an unfavourable outside barrier draw, he is considered a contender.
