Five days ago, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw the horse jump awkwardly but made steady progress after being urged from the 300m mark. Eight weeks prior, in a race of the same distance, it ran respectably tracking the leaders and showing a good burst in the final two sections, finishing sixth beaten three and a half lengths. A break followed with one satisfactory barrier trial. Coming off a recent run, this horse will carry 28 pounds more weight this time, is timed well within its group, and has drawn a favorable barrier allowing it to track the pace. Its finishing kick is strong amongst its peers, presenting a good overall situation. This horse holds a clear advantage in this race; Lyle Hewitson takes the ride, familiar with the horse’s temperament, and there's confidence from the trainer. A clean break should see them positioned to follow the leaders.
