On May 6th, a dirt trial over 1200m saw the horse urged to secure a forward position. Two months ago, in a Sha Tin mile race, it settled in a good position tracking the pace but lacked acceleration. Following a short break, a barrier trial showed slight improvement. Another turf trial over 1400m was undertaken with a four-pound weight reduction, requiring a hold-up tactic, however its finishing kick wasn’t competitive enough. Despite similar times compared to other horses in the same group, jockey Matthew Chadwick takes the reins and has some understanding of the horse's capabilities, while trainer and jockey have a reasonable rapport but this isn’t considered a strong chance."
