EXCELLENT DADDY

Six weeks ago, this horse ran a very disappointing race over the Sha Tin turf 1200m, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He maintained a steady pace but lacked a finishing surge. A recent barrier trial showed he couldn’t keep up with the leading horses. Dropping back in class for this race, returning to its debut distance of 1200m on dirt, it will carry an additional 19 pounds. This time a rearward run is expected, however, the finishing kick is unlikely to be strong enough to compete, making the situation unfavorable. Fortunately, it has previously won twice over this distance and the group timing wasn't significantly worse, qualifying it for contention.
