Six weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over a Happy Valley mile, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He maintained a steady pace throughout but lacked any significant acceleration. In its first dirt trial over 1200m, it has a one-pound weight reduction for this race, however the distance is not ideal and the barrier draw isn't particularly advantageous despite being an inside position. While showing some improvement in trackwork, further assessment after a run is recommended.
