Two weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley sprint, slow to jump and settling towards the rear with a steady pace but lacking a finishing burst. He finished well-beaten. In a subsequent dirt trial over 1200m, he’s been allocated an 11lb weight increase for this race, demonstrating poor finishing speed and facing unfavorable conditions. Fortunately, the overall time in his group wasn't too slow, and drawing a good barrier allows him to track the pace; provided he jumps cleanly and settles quickly, he should be able to improve on his last performance.
