On May 6th (dirt trial 1200m, sections 4-6-5), the horse ran steadily with a moderate finishing kick. On April 22nd (dirt trial 1200m, sections 4-4-7) maintained position without losing ground and finished with pressure on the straight. Eight weeks ago over this distance, it delivered a respectable performance, jumping slowly but finishing strongly to take second place, beaten by two and a half lengths. Following a short break, the horse has completed two barrier trials showing positive signs. This race benefits from a one-pound weight reduction, is timed well within its group, and draws an advantageous inside barrier. The tactics will be to settle towards the rear with a strong finishing kick expected; the form looks good compared to rivals. Matthew Chadwick takes the ride, familiar with the horse’s temperament, and trainer/jockey combination appears compatible – considered a strong contender.
