Five weeks ago, it ran decently over a Sha Tin mile, with a slow start and a hold-up tactic followed by a strong late run. A recent barrier trial showed moderate performance. Returning from its debut run on dirt over 1200m, this time the horse benefits from a one-pound weight reduction. It has previous form at this distance, and comparable times to its group. Drawing an inside barrier and with Hugh Bowman taking the ride – who has some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities – there's potential for a hold-up strategy. However, its finishing speed is likely inferior to rivals, making it a less favorable prospect, especially considering trainer-jockey combination isn’t strong. Consider as an outsider."
