Two weeks ago, this horse delivered a strong performance over Sha Tin 1200m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before accelerating strongly in the final two sections to finish third. He was beaten three lengths and showed good ability. In a subsequent trial over Sha Tin 1400m, he will carry only a one-pound penalty this time. His sectionals are respectable compared to his rivals, requiring a hold-up tactic with a strong finishing kick being his main asset. The trainer and jockey have a solid relationship, however, the horse has failed to place in four attempts over this distance, presenting a challenging situation; expecting a trailing position.
