Five weeks ago in a similar race, it performed well despite a slow start, settling towards the rear but finishing with a good late run, beaten two and a half lengths for sixth place. One barrier trial showed satisfactory condition. This time, carrying one pound less weight, having previous form over this distance, and drawing an inside barrier are advantageous factors. Derek Leung takes the ride, familiar with the horse’s temperament; trainer and jockey have a good rapport. Although the group's overall timing isn't impressive, the plan is to settle towards the rear but its finishing kick may not be strong enough to compete with rivals, still considered a potential top three contender.
