Two weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed well despite a slow start, settling towards the rear. He maintained a steady pace and showed some late acceleration. Stepping up in class for his last run, he will carry an additional 20 pounds this time. However, he has yet to win in nine attempts at this distance, and while capable of finishing strongly, lacks the finishing kick of rivals. The current form of horses in the same group is encouraging, and drawing an inside barrier offers some opportunity.
