WINNING DRAGON

Three weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over a Sha Tin 1800m race, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He maintained a steady pace throughout but lacked any significant acceleration. Last run, he was trialled over 1600m on turf again, entering this race without weight reduction. The timing of his group isn't ideal, resulting in an unfavorable situation and a lack of synergy between horse and trainer. Despite drawing a good barrier allowing him to track the pace, there doesn’t seem to be a clear strategy. Matthew Chadwick has been appointed as the jockey; he has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities but doesn’t appear to have a specific plan in mind.
