On 4/7 (dirt trial 1200m: 6-5-6), the horse maintained a wide path with a brisk pace. Three weeks ago, over Sha Tin turf 1800m, it performed reasonably well despite a slow jump and settling towards the rear. It showed a strong late run to finish third, beaten by one and a half lengths. A recent barrier trial was satisfactory. Stepping back into racing soon, this time over Sha Tin turf 1600m, it carries only a one-pound weight increase. The group timing is comparable. Expecting a hold-up tactics, its finishing kick appears to be the strongest in the field. The jockey has some familiarity with the horse and trainer demonstrates good understanding of each other. Despite drawing an outside barrier which is less favorable, a win is expected.
